Two films opened huge at the North American box office this weekend, as audiences flocked to see some family friendly fare. Kung Fu Panda which stars the voices of Jack Black, Jackie Chan and Seth Rogen was the top dog, with an estimated haul of $60 million over the Friday to Sunday period. But Adam Sandler again proved to be hugely popular with American cinema goers, as his latest comedy Don’t Mess With The Zohan hit $40 million to take the second spot. Indy moved to third, while Sex And The City slid to fourth - their totals stand at $253 million and $99 million respectively. The Incredible Hulk and The Happening both make their debuts next week, and offer the first proper battle of the blockbuster season as both would aim for similar markets.
