If ever there was a headline to elicit a smile on your face, this has got to be it.
The Big Sick's Kumail Nanjiani and former pro wrestler-turned-scene stealer of Blade Runner 2049 Dave Bautista are teaming up for an action-comedy directed by Michael Dowse, who made the hugely underrated ice-hockey comedy Goon. The film, titled Stuber, sees Nanjiani playing a mild-mannered Uber driver whilst Bautista plays a grizzled cop on the trail of a brutal killer.
So, basically, imagine Michael Mann's Collateral except it's a comedy and instead of Tom Cruise being an assassin, it's Dave Bautista being a cop. And it's a comedy.
Yes to all of this, quite frankly.
