Kristen Wiig is in talks to star opposite Ben Stiller in the remake of 1940s flick, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wiig is in advanced negotiations to join the family comedy, which would film this summer while she's on a break from Saturday Night Live. Stiller will also helm the film (his first time since Tropic Thunder), which centres on a low level magazine employee, who retreats to a fantasy where he is much more confident and cooler. Wiig would be the woman of his dreams, which will be a change from the kind of stuffy supporting characters she was playing before the global smash that was Bridesmaids.

If Wiig does sign on, expect to see her and Stiller mushing faces some time in 2013.
