Robert Luketic (who directed the fun Legally Blonde and the godawful Killers) is attached to direct the action/thriller flick Brilliant, according to Variety.
The film will revolve around a small-time criminal who joins accomplished thieves in a diamond heist. No cast has yet been put in place, but given Luketic's background with soft romantic comedy stars like Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler/Ashton Kutcher, you'd be forgive for writing this one off already. Although 21 had its moments...
The film is already a go, so casting will be the next thing you hear about.
