The internet is this morning abuzz with the rumour that Kevin Costner will join the cast of the new Superman film.
Deadline.com broke the story, but are so far unclear on a possible role for the Robin Hood star. Off the bat, everyone seems to be suggesting Jonathon Kent - Clark Kent's Dad. Recently Irish actor Colin O' Donoghue came very close to bagging the lead role of Kent/Superman, but director Zack Snyder instead went with his British lookalike, Henry Cavill.
The film is scheduled for release around Christmas 2012, with shooting set to begin in the next few months.
