Keira Knightley is to star in a new version of the musical My Fair Lady. According to Variety the pouty actress will take the lead role "as the simple Cockney flower girl who is transformed into a lady". It was previously committed to celluloid in 1964, and has been adapted for the stage several times and is currently touring North America. The new version will be set in 1912, and shoot on location around London. We’re not sure if Knightley is going to belt out a tune though, you’d assume so, but we’ve no idea if she can hold a note or not. Still, another period piece for Keira - her agent must have a serious fetish for frocky gowns and corsets.
