Back in the '90s, the ultimate on-screen power couple was most likely Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, or Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder.

Since Nicole Kidman is starring in critically-acclaimed TV shows, and Tom Cruise is still doing run-of-the-mill blockbusters, there's little chance of them crossing paths again. Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves, however, are teaming up for a new rom-com that's being dubbed by some as the "meet-cute" of our time.

Per THR, the film - called Destination Wedding - follows "two miserable and unpleasant wedding guests, both pariahs at this affair, who develop a mutual affection despite themselves." It's early days yet, of course, but we can honestly say that this film speaks to us a deep, emotional level just from reading that line.

Reeves and Ryder starred together in Francis Ford Coppola's not-as-bad-as-you-remember adaptation of Dracula in 1992, and more recently starred in Richard Linklater's not-as-good-as-you-remember adaptation of A Scanner Darkly.

More recently still, Ryder's made turns in Netflix's smash-hit series Stranger Things, whilst Keanu Reeves turned in career-best performances in office favourite John Wick, and John Wick: Chapter Two.

No release date has been confirmed for Destination Wedding as of yet, but expect there to be a lot of '90s jokes and vibes around this one.
