Dr Who actress Karen Gillan opened up not too long ago that she once used to be bullied in school for her flame-red locks that have since helped her rise to prominence on our TV screens. Despite how regularly her hair is called her trademark, and just as Gillan didn't let the bullying faze her, she has shown no fear of casting off said trademark in a few swift moves of a scissors for a big film role.

This weekend the twenty-five year old, best known for her role as the Dr Who quirky and sexy sidekick Amy Pond, unveiled her new updated appearance at Comic-Con 2013, where she went to promote the Marvel Studios upcoming blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy. Moving from sidekick to supervillain, Gillan will play Nebula the alien in the superhero flick. In fairness, the bubbly Scottish actress once worked as a model so pulling of a Sinead O'Connor head is the ultimate win in that circle. If you can go bald, you're definitely a stunner. Plus if you really want to consider the benefits, it's an excellent summer trend if the hot weather continues. Razor anyone?
