Judd Apatow may be about to produce a slasher film, from a script penned by Saturday Night Live stars Bill Hader and Simon Rich. Hader was talking to CHUD when he spewed these eloquent words about the possible production: "It’s definitely about guys nowadays, that idea that you watch fucked up shit on TV… You watch f**ked up reality shows, I love true crime shows. The idea of that thing coming to your house, and what do you do? I would shit my pants. That’s basically what the movie is about. What if that guy decided to come to your house. What would you and your dipshit friends do about it?" He then went on to describe it as "Partially Straw Dogs meets Halloween meets Home Alone meets Monster Squad." Apatow apparently told Hader: "I want to make a slasher movie with you guys." Which seems nice and straight forward. The Apatow humour transferred to a slasher film set-up could be gold; as it already worked a treat with 'Stoner Action Movie' for Pineapple Express so why the hell not!?
