Joseph Gordon-Levitt could be playing American traitor/patriot (really depends on who you talk to) Edward Snowden in a biopic to be directed by Hollywood mad yoke, Oliver Stone.

Stone and his producing partner Moritz Borman have bought the rights to 'The Snowden Files: The Inside Story Of The World’s Most Wanted Man' and Snowden's own book,'Time Of The Octopus.'

While Levitt hasn't been confirmed, trade publication Deadline seem confident that he will, when he wraps work on 'Xmas' opposite his 50/50 pal, Seth Rogen.

Gordon recently wrapped the Robert Zemeckis-directed The Walk, and is generally considered one of the coolest stars currently leading movie pictures in Hollywood.

Stone hasn't made a good movie in a while (arguably since Any Given Sunday), but when he's great, he's utterly superb. This could be right up his street.
