It was a fairly muted weekend at the North American box-office, as last week's number one, Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail held top spot with $16.5 million, giving it a healthy lead over expected number one Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, which underperformed with $12.7 million. Elsewhere, the only other noteworthy entry was the complete and utter failure of another game adaptation; Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, which bombed, after opening in sixth position with a measly $5.6 million. Out of the twenty eight game adaptations ever released, that puts Street Fighter at twenty three. Now that is gonna leave a mark. Next week sees the day-and-date launch of the fantastic Watchmen, with box-office forecasters struggling to predict the outcome. Let's hope it's the boffo opening it deserves...
