Jon Ronson's The Psychopath Test made for one of the most intriguing and unsettling books of 2011, with its fascinating insight into the world of CEOs, psychopathy and the "mental health" industry.

Much and all as we liked it, the material - you would think, anyway - doesn't lend itself to being made into a feature-length film. Right?

Maybe not.

It's been reported that none other than Scarlett Johansson will star in a film adaptation of the book and will be directed by Jay Roach and have a script written by Futurama's Kristin Gore.

The film will take the form of a psychological thriller, and we're guessing, be set in the world of high-flying CEOs who have issues with intimacy and empathy.

We're particularly interested by the inclusion of Kristin Gore as screenwriter. Not only was she a writer on one of our all-time favourite TV shows, she's also uniquely placed to write about executives and people in power.

How's that, you ask? Her dad is former Vice President of the United States, Al Gore. Just that guy.

This isn't the first time Ronson's books have been turned into films. Last year's Frank, with our own Michael Fassbender, was pretty great.

However, The Men Who Stare At Goats was a little, well, it was crap. Basically.

The Psychopath Test will be hitting our cinemas some time in 2017.
