Is Ben Affleck one of the greatest directors currently working? We wouldn't have any qualms in saying that yes, he probably is. Hitting it out of the ball park with each passing movie (we mean the ones that he's helmed; we don't mean Gigli), Affleck is on one hell of a winning streak. Following on from the superb Gone Baby Gone and The Town, Argo will earn the relatively new director a hat trick. We won't spoil it for you; our forthcoming review will reveal all but by God it's good.

Starring as part of the ensemble cast, John Goodman - someone who's been in the business for quite a while - had the following kind words to say about Affleck: The one thing he was, was prepared - and smartly so he really trusts people and he delegates his authority in such a way that he doesn't have to worry about little things because it has been taken care of already. Everything was so richly detailed on Argo. That makes our jobs as actors so much easier. Ben Affleck, he's a terrific actor and he already has a great track record as a director. It was interesting to watch him go back and forth between the two... He knew exactly what he wanted, but he was flexible and a very generous collaborator, too. He came up with ideas for my character I didn't think of. It was wonderful working with him."

We'll have an interview with Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston live on site next week so don't forget to check back! And as for Argo, pencil that trip to the cinema into your diary.
