Joaquin Pheonix has announced he's quitting acting. He spewed: "The reason I keep making movies is I hate the last thing I did. I'm trying to rectify my wrongs." So he will instead concentrate on his music career - which we're assuming isn't a Johnny Cash tribute act. How many actors have "quit" acting and realised that the daily grind of not making millions of dollars per movie was too much to handle? Sean Connery quit after The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, andhas mercifully not come back; but other folk like Eddie Murphy and Jack Nicholson have said they're quiting and retracted their statement within days. Stop caring... now.
