New Bourne, Jeremy Renner, will star in and produce the racing flick Slingshot for his own production company The Combine, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will be based on the true story of a man who bought a BMW for $500 and then went on to win The World Rally Championships in Mexico with the same car. Renner is producing the film with pal Don Handfield, who also wrote the screenplay. The two men are also working on a Steve McQueen biopic (Thomas Jane for McQueen!)
Renner is currently shooting The Avengers with Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L Jackson.
