That time of year again, folks. Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2014 is just around the corner and oh, what treats they have in store for you.

We'll be bringing you all you need to know, news, interviews, videos, photos and more in the run up to and throughout the festival itself but for now, it's time to remind you of the opening Gala film, 'Cavalry'.

Chockers full of famous Irish faces, this one. Brendan Gleeson, Aiden Gillen, Domhnall Gleeson, Chris O'Dowd, Dylan Moran and helmed by the very talented John Michael McDonagh (who brought the fantastic The Guard to our screens a few years back.)

Described as a dark comic thriller with more Irish talent involved than you could share a Guinness with, we've got high hopes for this one.

The gala will take place at Dublin's Savoy Cinema on Thursday, 13th February 2014.

As per JDIFF, In 'Calvary', Brendan Gleeson stars as Father James, a priest who has a week to put his affairs in order after being told he is marked for murder during a confession. Set against the stunning beauty of Ireland's West Coast, the film also stars Kelly Reilly ('Sherlock Holmes'), Domhnall Gleeson ('About Time'), Chris O'Dowd ('Bridesmaids'), Dylan Moran ('Black Books') and Aidan Gillen ('Game of Thrones').
