Recent Oscar winner Javier Bardem has joined the cast of Oliver Stone’s Wall Street 2, which will see the return of Michael Douglas as resident greedy bastard Gordon Gekko. Shia LaBeouf is to headline this time out, playing an ambitious young trader who is courting Gekko's daughter. Bardem will play the man responsible for the death of LaBeouf's mentor, when he tops himself after some dodgy dealings. The sequel is set 21 years after the original, in the latter half of 2008, when Gekko see's the current financial crisis coming, but is distracted by his daughters impending nuptials. The daughter role is the only prominent part still to be cast. The film is due out in early 2010.
