Crack out the blue body paint because James Cameron's getting ready to return to Pandora.

The West Australian reports that Cameron is currently tweaking the scripts for the next two Avatar films but will hopefully have them done and dusted come February. That will leave him free to start filming Avatar 2 in 2013. "I want to get these scripts nailed down," he says. "I don't want to be writing the movie in post production. We kind of did that on the first picture, I ended up cutting out a lot of scenes and I don't want to do that again." That's probably a good idea, sure the last one was long enough!

Cameron also mentioned that he'd be keeping a close eye on The Hobbit. He's thinking of using the film's 48 FPS technology on the Avatar sequels but he wants to see what the audience think of it first. "If there is acceptance of 48, then that will pave the way for Avatar to take advantage of it," he said.
