Nothing will be stopping the Freddy Mercury biopic now since the lead actor and director have both been confirmed.
Ben Whishaw (Q in Skyfall) has officially been named the actor who will don the famous moustache and actor turned director Dexter Fletcher will take the helm.
Sacha Baron Cohen broke free from the role this summer and speculation has been rife over who might take over. There were brief rumours that Daniel Radcliffe would be the one to rock us but the remaining members of Queen apparently had been eying Ben up for a while.
The film will follow Freddy from his youth up till the band's famous performance at Live Aid in 1985. Given Freddy's incredible life and legendary flamboyance we're hoping that this film will be a kind of magic.
