The film adaptation of Eoin Colfer's series of fantasy novels has been in the works for years now with a whole host of big names attached to direct at various points. The most recent update on the project was back in November 2015 when it was revealed that Kenneth Brannagh was developing the project with Conor McPherson on scriptwriting duties. Whether or not Brannagh is still going to be calling the shots behind the camera remains to be seen.
