It was preceded by 'The Incredible Hulk' but 'Iron Man' was the movie that was really responsible for kicking the Marvel Cinematic Unit into gear.
The 2008 film proved a hit with audiences and critics. Everyone agreed that Robert Downey Jr. was made to play Tony Stark.
Solo outing sequels for the superhero followed in 2010 and 2013 (with a few Marvel movies in between).
While there have been disagreements over which is the best of the series, one thing is for sure. As a trilogy, it really works, proving consistently entertaining, thrilling and even emotional (again, thanks to Downey) over the three movies.
Iron Man's story came to a conclusion not with the threequel but with last year's 'Avengers: Endgame'. It would seem we really have seen the end of Tony Stark.

So try it out for yourself, especially if you're as big a Marvel fan as we are - how well do you remember the trilogy?
