In a surprise announcement, Terrance Howard has pulled out of Iron Man 2 and been replaced by Don Cheadle. Howard reportedly bailed when his wage demands weren't met; paving the way for Cheadle, who was ironically the first choice for the role. The character of Jim Rhodes played an integral part in the first film, while he ultimately becomes War Machine in the sequel - a fully fledged hero in his own right. It's disappointing that Howard would bounce given the potential of the character; but Don Cheadle is a fantastic actor who thoroughly deserves the fat paycheque. Script is currently being penned by Tropic Thunder scribe Justin Theroux, for a production start next year and a release in 2010.
