Hollywood is finally copping on to the former star of The OC, Adam Brody. According to Darkhorizons.com (via The Hollywood Reporter) the actor will star in two high profile independent films.

First up Brody will headline Some Girls, which will be penned by (the sometimes brilliant, sometimes awful) Neil LaBute and helmed by Mad Men regular Jennifer Getzinger. The flick will be based on LaBute's play and centre on "successful writer who, before getting married, decides to travel across the country to meet his five ex-girlfriends in a series of hotel rooms." Sounds like a ponderous High Fidelity. He'll also star in Welcome to the Jungle, which follows "a group of design firm workers at an office retreat on a tropical island suddenly overtaken by a dangerous group." Ohhh all genre-y.

Delighted he's getting more work, Brody has excellent comic timing and deserves a shot at leading man status.
