Anne Hathaway and Tom Cruise are looking likely to play a crooning couple in the Adam Shankman directed musical, Rock of Ages, reports Deadline.com.
In the flick, which Cruise has already signed on for, Hathaway would play a cynical journalist who is out to expose Cruise's arrogant, aging, but charismatic rock star. Alas, they fall in love, belt out a Foreigner song, and ride in the club jacks. That's what happens in the Broadway show anyway.
Hathaway of course has Batman to deal with first, whilst Cruise is currently putting the finishing touches to Mission Impossible 4. Shankman has previously directed one of the few decent musicals in recent memory, Hairspray.
