As we reported, a Blade Runner sequel will soon be in the offing and the script has been completed.

In a recent interview, Sir Ridley Scott spoke about his working relationship with Harrison Ford and mentioned that he sent him the sequel's script.

"Harrison and I really get on rather well. I sent him (the script), and he said ‘That’s the best thing I’ve ever read.’ So it’s very relevant to what happened in the first one."

High praise indeed. Meanwhile, it looks like Scott may not be out of the running for the Blade Runner sequel just yet.

As fans of the seminal sci-fi classic will know, Blade Runner is considered to be one of Scott's most personal films.

"It’s a hard one to track because it’s a very personal piece of my work. [‘Blade Runner’] may be one of the most personal pieces I did. I got so beaten up for it, I said I’d never try that again. But here we are. It’s sitting there ready to be made."

Scott went on, explaining how the sequel will be more in line with the original than say Prometheus' line to Alien.

"With Blade Runner, we landed on a somehow very credible future. It’s very difficult to change that because it’s been so influential with everything else.”

So, what do we think? Should Scott stay on as director or should he pass the baton to someone else?
