Harrison Ford, we salute your sheer optimism.

Indiana Jones - no matter if you were a man, woman or child, you wanted to be him. The archeology adventurer with his trademark whip and distaste for snakes was the pinnacle of every child from way back when - the Iron Man of the 80's if you will.

Of course, a lot of that is down to the trademark performances from one Harrison Ford. The original 80's trilogy will always remain a stern favourite among movie-goers (and the less said about the unnecessary 2008 sequel, all the better).

Now, promoting his new animated feature, 'The Secret Life of Pets 2', Harrison Ford made an appearance on an American daytime TV show recently. And boy was it a memorable one.

When asked who he would like to see play Indiana Jones in the inevitable Hollywood reboot, Ford guffaws at the question. Then, leaning over to put his hand on the presenter's shoulder, he says, quite seriously, "Nobody... Is gonna be Indiana Jones... Don't you get it? I'm Indiana Jones."

It kind of feels like a scene that belongs in Rickey Gervais' 'Extras', but we'll go with it.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that a fifth Indiana Jones entry is in very active development. According to Digital Spy, Disney has set the sequel for a July 9th 2021 release date. And of course, both Harrison Ford and director Steven Spielberg will be returning.
