Walking the red carpet when you're an actor can be an absolute pain in the hole.

You're asked the same questions over and over again, you have to stand and pose awkwardly for photos, and then you have to make small-talk as well. Small-talk is terrible, people. It's no wonder then that people haven't thought of doing what Hannibal Buress did for the premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Buress, who plays Coach Wilson in the latest Spider-Man reboot, hired a lookalike to go in his stead and do press interviews on the red carpet. Yes, really.

Sony and Marvel have provided no comment yet on what exactly happened, however Buress was openly recruiting for the role and has since deleted the tweets to keep up the facade. The guy Buress hired, Joe Carroll, didn't really bother with that - and was actively posting on Instagram the night of the event.

You have to love Hannibal Buress for doing something like this, especially since he clearly has zero respect for red carpets and just lives to fuck with people in this kind of way.

Next time there's a premiere, send Morpheus Buress.
