As you probably know by now, we're huge 'John Wick' fans around these parts and we can't wait for the upcoming third installment.

'John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum', directed by Chad Stahelski, hits cinemas next month and stars Keanu Reeves, as the titular hit man character. Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and John Leguizamo are also returning. A new addition to the new cast is Halle Berry who plays Sofia, an old acquaintance of Wick.

However, her preparation suffered a setback when she got seriously hurt in rehearsal.

"I broke three ribs when I was rehearsing for John Wick," she told Extra. "It's like a badge of honour for me, we don't know how it happened. I worked for a little while with broken ribs until I could no longer do it."

Halle also opened up about her intense training schedule, explaining that she went through "hours and hours of stunt training".

"It's gun training, it's dog training, then it's just strength training on top of that with my trainer, and it's watching my diet," she said.

"It was pretty amazing," she said, of working with Reeves. "It was a little terrifying at first because he's so damn good, and I wanted to be on the same level with him, I didn’t want to disappoint him."

'John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum' is in Irish cinemas on May, 19th.
