Guillermo del Toro has revealed that he is working on a sequel to sci-fi monster movie Pacific Rim. In an interview with IGN he mentioned that he and Travis Beacham are writing it but whether it gets the greenlight or not is "definitely above my pay rate".
The first movie did well, but was not the gigantic success that the studio had hoped it would be, despite Guillermo saying, "what was beautiful and flattering was how people saw the movie not once or twice but three, four times or more. People that love it, love it with great passion. So I would love to continue telling stories about that world."
