New Tomb Raider producer (and frequent Martin Scorsese cohort) Graham King, has spoken about the production and the direction it will be going in after a script was delivered by Iron Man writers, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby.

King spoke to the folks at Collider and said, "There’s something about her character and going back to her roots, and that’s what we’re doing with this. You’re actually gonna meet her before she has all her powers as Lara Croft. It’s more of a character study, but it’s a really fun, fun adventure story." So, an attractive, strong relatively unknown actress for the part? I give you Missy Peregrym, the Canadian star of Reaper and Rookie Blue.

Granted, Peregrym is purely my choice for the part, but she would be perfect. We'll probably have to wait for a director to become attached before we hear about a star, though.
