In a strange turn of events, a film once rumoured to be directed by Dog Soldiers and The Decent helmer Neil Marshall, Drive, will instead be helmed by the man behind Bronson, Nicolas Winding Refn, and star Ryan Gosling - instead of Hugh Jackman.

According to Empire, the flick will see Gosling play a former stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver for bank robbers. When he gets caught up with Carey Mulligan's wrong sort boyfriend, and a job goes wrong, he finds himself on the run with Mulligan. Mad Men star, and current stunner of the moment, Christina Hendricks, has joined the cast, while Breaking Bad lead Bryan Cranston and Albert Brooks will also appear.

Gosling is worth watching in pretty much anything. Throw in that type of cast with an interesting director and this could be something special.
