Another day, another remake planned.... this one does appear to be a tad on the random side. The 1980's film, Girls Just Want To Have Fun, is to be remade into a brand spanking new pink-fest, full of dancing, bad hair and worse clothes - if the original is anything to go by. Starring a young Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt, the first film was about two girls who were obsessed with a TV show called Dance Nation; when it comes to their town, they vow to go and see it, but one of their auld lads doesn't approve. In fairness, judging by that McDonalds ad' that shows people dancing in the 80's we don’t really blame him. No word on a director or possible cast yet, but expect Cyndi Lauper's irritatingly catchy theme tune to re-enter the charts as soon as the film hits cinemas.
