Now that George Lucas has sold off Lucasfilm to Disney for $4.05 billion, what exactly do you do with that kind of money?

Well, if you're George Lucas, you're already sitting on a gigantic pile of money that you can't reasonably spend in your remaining years - so you give it away. A report in Variety has confirmed that George Lucas is planning to spend $1 billion of his own money building a museum in Los Angeles to house Lucas' extensive art collection, as well as many memorabilia and mementos from Star Wars.

The Museum Of Narrative Art will also receive a $400 million endowment - from Lucas - and will sit adjacent to Los Angeles' Museum of Natural History and Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Lucas' collection of artwork currently has around 10,000 or so paintings, which will be put on display in the museum. As well as this, the museum will cover seven acres and, according to LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, will create 1,000 permanent positions upon its opening.

Here's what the proposed building will look like.
