Every month or so (or day or minute in some fanboys' minds) speculation about whether Wonder Woman will finally re-emerge on our screens is rife. However, it seems as though this particular rumour may not be as much as a pipe dreams as the others usually are. Warner Bros' President of Creative Development, Greg Silverman, has told Variety that the studio are seriously considering including Wonder Women in the upcoming Superman vs Batman movie.

He said, "Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it's a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero.

"We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that's respectful to those characters and maximises the stories as best they can. So everything that has been speculated are things that we've thought about."

Wonder Woman was played by Linda Carter in the cult 1970's TV series but the character has not been seen in live-action form since the show's cancellation in 1979.

All we can say is God help Warner Bros if they choose the wrong actress to play her.
