David Fincher (the triple classics Seven, Fight Club and Zodiac) has added another film to his slate of proposed flicks, as he’s announced he’ll turn comic The Goon into a CG movie - that will be entirely animated. According to The Hollywood Reporter it was created by Eric Powell in 1999, and follows the adventures of a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for a feared mobster. The stories apparently have a paranormal and comedic edge to them and concern ghosts, zombies, mad scientists and "skunk apes." Fincher isn’t officially down to helm the project, but will produce. He’s currently deep in post production on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which many preview screener’s have already called a "masterpiece". It’s scheduled for release around about Santa time.
