Famed Film Critic Roger Ebert has upset fans and friends of tragically deceased Jackass star Ryan Dunn by tweeting the following, mere hours after his death: "Friends don’t let Jackasses drink and drive."

Ebert has over 400,000 followers on twitter and the tweet caused uproar with many, including the official Jackass twitter who tweeted back "too soon." Ebert then posted a link in retaliation to Perez Hilton's story of the accident that killed Dunn and an unnamed passenger, where some people commenting wrote horrible things about Dunn and tweeted "Perez Hilton's readers agree with me and not with Perez about my tweet on Ryan Dunn. He drank, he drove, 2 people died." He then reweeted comments from people agreeing with him and slating Hilton and Dunn.

Ebert has a habit of tweeting very stupid, misjudged comments and recently was the subject of much media focus for his use of "the 'N' word" in a tweet. Personally I think if Ryan Dunn was drinking and driving then he paid the ultimate price; but we don't know if he was yet and someone of Ebert's stature tweeting pure speculation is merely adding coal to the fire.
