And now for another Fifty Shades of Grey movie update. Well the initial stages are still in development so unfortunately we have no concrete cast details for you as of yet; just rumours. Don't you worry though. As soon as names are announced, we'll bring the news to you quicker than Anastasia Steele could have her knickers off. That's a promise. Anyhoo, another name thrown into the mix of late was Ian Somerhalder, star of The Vampire Diaries.

While he dismissed the rumours earlier in the year that he'd take on the lead role, he did express his interest in the story whilst chatting with E! at the 2012 Environmental Media Awards this weekend: "I think that's going to be a very interesting story to tell... It seems like whoever plays that role, it will be very interesting rehearsal time... the audition process is gonna be interesting."

Interesting or HAWT. Whatever was in the water at the Snow White and The Huntsman camp (which lead to K-Stew and Rupert Sanders' affair), you can be damn sure that lines will be crossed on this set; no way is someone in a relationship going to be happy to see their significant other off to a days work of rogering which ever lucky girl takes on the role of Anastasia.

While Somerhalder didn't divulge as to whether or not he will audition, he didn't mind day dreaming about who would play his Anastasia: "My Anastasia? I don't know... there are too many [good Hollywood actors] to name."

Someone who would definitely be up for the role, however, is Jake Gyllenhaal. Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show earlier this month, Jake said: "That's super flattering... I mean, I have not heard that, but if that's true then that's a nice thing. It's always nice to be considered." When asked if he'd take the role he said; "Yeah, of course! I always want to work, man, of course."

If his turn in Love and Other Drugs is anything to go by, Jake as Christian might not be a bad idea at all.
