In a match made in creative heaven, Emma Stone will star in Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous director Cameron Crowe’s next film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stone will begin work on the untitled project in the Autumn. The script was written by Crowe and picked up by Sony Pictures - who are already firmly in the Emma Stone business with The Amazing Spider-Man. Crowe last made the so so We Bought A Zoo with Matt Damon and hasn’t made a good film since ‘Famous’ - although Vanilla Sky has its fans.

The film is described as a romantic drama, which is what Crowe does best. Stone seems made to spew his dialogue - fingers crossed it’s a return to form for the helmer.
