Speaking to Digital Spy, the star of The Social Network Jesse Eisenberg said that himself and the cast of Zombieland would be "thrilled" if the possibility arose to return for a sequel.
Ruben Fleischer who directed Zombieland and Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick who worked as screenwriters are allegedly working on a script for Zombieland 2 that will reunite survivors of the apocalypse Columbus (Eisenberg), Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin).
Eisenberg told Digital Spy: "I'd be very interested to read it but I think they haven't finished the script. We all, by we I mean the three other actors in the movie, really loved doing it and I'm sure would be thrilled to do another one."
While the core cast would jump right on board, it remains unknown who would stand in for the necessary cameos. Eisenberg said to Digital Spy that it would be difficult to find an A-list actor to fill the shoes of Bill Murray's fantastic cameo from the first movie.
"We were so surprised that he showed up to do that, we didn't know until that morning [that he would do it]," he said. "It came together so fortuitously that it would be very difficult to exceed."
With Abigail Breslin hoping for a "zombified" Justin Bieber to show up in the sequel (so she told Digital Spy), the jury's out on what kind of surprises this film will throw up.
