We really have to say, we did not see this coming. According to THR none other than global box office sensation, WWE superstar and all round good egg, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, will star in a big screen adaptation of Baywatch.
Seems, obvious right? I mean, with the muscles an all he'll look good on a beach. Although it looks like the "action" in this one will be curtailed somewhat in favour of comedy, as Horrible Bosses 2 writer/directors Sean Anders and John Morris will helm the film.
The Rock has proven before he can do comedy and do it well - charisma transcends any genre - but his inclusion would lead you to believe that there will be some action. Shark wrestle, maybe?
No production date has yet been set, but this one could be fun if it does indeed happen.
