In case one found the 'Downton Abbey' to be a positively spiffing affair, there is delightfully good news for you and your good chums - a sequel is being discussed with a view to being a reality.
To quote Mr. Neame in full, "we're having those conversations. We're working on what the story is, and when we might be able to make it. But it's the same as the first time around: We have to try to get everyone back together again. And that was very challenging."
He further spake, "We started vaguely thinking about it before the release of the movie. But we were kind of holding our breath. The reaction to the film, the press tour in the U.S. and the buildup to release were so strong that we'd been thinking about it. And then it was clear from the first weekend that this was worth taking very seriously."
Jolly good news then for anyone who enjoys the unique delights of landed gentry going about their trifles and dealings without the mere possibility of anything going awry or anything of dramatic importance taking place.
How frightful were it to be so.
(Translation: They're making another 'Downton Abbey' movie, probably. Enjoy it, class traitors.)
