Robert Downey Jr. is on a roll. Ever since being cast by Shane Black (make more movies damn it!) in the brilliant Kiss Kiss Bang Bang his career has never looked stronger. He’ll next been seen in Ben Stiller comedy Tropic Thunder, then in Oscar bait The Soloist opposite Jamie Fox, and has now announced he’s in negotiations for a bonkers sounding film that just might have the best title ever. Downey is being sought for the movie Cowboys Vs Aliens, which is basically exactly what the plot is. Set in the old west, some aliens land in the middle of a gun fight and our cowboys must fight them off as they’re not very nice aliens. No director is attached yet, but the script has been co-penned by Iron Man scribes Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus. Could be great fun, no?
