Leonardo DiCaprio has officially joined Christopher Nolan's next project, the sci-fi thriller Inception. The film is seen as a "between project" as he weighs up the heavy pre-production on another Batman film. It's not yet clear on what type of role DiCaprio will play, but we do know that the film is "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind" which would indicate that the scope for action and the likes is endless. DCaprio has been picking interesting roles, that haven't really transferred into box-office coin of late; so something with the director of the most financially and critically successful film in years was probably a no-brainer. It will be released in the summer of 2010, which means another Batman film is probably not likely until 2012 at the earliest.
