I think Diane Lane is one of the most underappreciated actresses in tinseltown, even if she has been nominated for an Oscar. Next up, according to Variety, Josh Brolin's missus will star in Secretariat, a Disney made film about the relationship between the 1973 Triple Crown-winning racehorse and his owner, Penny Chenery. Lane will play a put upon woman who has to deal with a barrage of issues when she takes over training the horse, including a hefty inheritance tax after her auld lad buys the farm. Lane constantly appears in material that she's far too good for, so let's hope this film doesn't fall into that category as well. Randall Wallace, who penned Braveheart, is directing the film.
