Stir of Echoes is a thriller that I'm very fond of. Atmospheric and superbly acted by its lead, Kevin Bacon, it was cruelly overlooked when it was released around the same time as the mammoth hit, The Sixth Sense. Now, its director, David Koepp, who is widely regarded as one of the top screenwriters in Hollywood, has signed on to helm Premium Rush, which is described as an action thriller by Variety. According to the trade paper, the film is about a bike messenger who stumbles across a package so important, that he is then tracked by a corrupt cop through the streets New York to get it. Sounds like a recipe for action, and anyone who has ever seen those couriers going through Manhattan will know just how dangerous a job it is anyway - those cab drivers are MENTAL.
