Seinfield's Danny Woodburn has been added to the cast of Michael Bay's 'Ninja Turtles'.

Woodburn will be taking the role as Master Splinter, the turtles' wise rodent friend and mentor. Woodburn recently starred as the dwarf Grimm in 'Mirror Mirror' but will be most recognised for his role as Kramers pal Mickey in the much loved Seinfield series.

The actor will be joining Hunger Games star Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek and Jeremy Howard who will make up the shelled quartet. Megan Fox will be taking the role of reporter April Fox and Arrested Development's Will Arnett will be joining the cast in a role, which has been kept a secret so far.

Bay's film caused controversy earlier in the year when a script appeared online for the proposed remaking which saw the turtles origin from outer space. 'Ninja Turtles' is to be released next summer on the 6th June 2014.
