Dakota Fanning has reportedly been offered a role in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, after fans of the book series launched an online petition for her to be cast as Italian vampire, Jane. Fanning will apparently not have to audition for a role, and the part is hers if she wants it. Paul Weitz is directing the film, which is due to move into principal photography in March. Fanning is just about to turn 15, and has the action film Push due out for release in the next few weeks. Having never read the books I have no Idea if this is good casting or not, but Fanning is growing into a wonderful actress and would add a bit of class to the production, if the rumours are true
