It seems as though Tom Cruise is a busy man these days. In our second piece of Cruise-news of the day, it appears that Mr Katie Holmes is set to star in the first pure comedy movie of his career. Cruise has flexed his comedic muscles on the big screen before as evidenced by films like Jerry Maguire, Risky Business and his unintentionally hilarious Irish accent in Far and Away ("You're a corker, Shannon. What a corker you are.") but has never attempted a proper comedy movie. His cameo in the upcoming Tropic Thunder has been receiving rave reviews from those who’ve seen it and that suggests that comedy is a genre in which Mr Cruise would be well at home in. The film in question is called Food Fight, and Cruise would play an upmarket New York chef who, as a result of some presumably hilarious antics, is forced to cook food in a school canteen.
