Well lads it's finally been confirmed, Lenny Kravitz WILL portray the late great Marvin Gaye in long-gestating biopic, Sexual Healing. What a name, eh? Kravitz has been making quite the transition into the world of movies of late, having recently appeared in The Hunger Games and due to return once again to the role of Cinna for the second installment of that franchise next year.

Based loosely on the book Trouble Man, Sexual Healing will see Gaye the early 1980s, when his career began to suffer from a mixture of drug addiction and industry issues. With the man behind the project - Julien Temple - having resolved a number of issues regarding musical rights, we should see things begin to move on this movie some time next year. As with most great figures of our time - Princess Diana, Freddie Mercury, the list goes on - it's only a matter of time before their lives are transformed to the big screen. Here's hoping Kravitz has the chops to make it worthwhile.
