Oscar Isaac is now officially the "next big thing" in Hollywood, as the actor has just bagged the lead role in a Coen Brother's film.

According to Deadline, the film is called Inside Llewyn Davis, and will centre on the 60s folk music scene in New York’s Greenwich Village. Issac just played major roles in (the excellent) Drive and Sucker Punch. Tony Gilroy apparently wanted him to be the new "Jason Bourne" in The Bourne Legacy, but the studio thought he wasn’t big enough and Jeremy Renner was cast instead. He still has a role in the movie.

Every Coen production comes with expectations. Their last movie, True Grit is one of their biggest hits, and they're firmly at the point where they can make what they want.
